DOROTHY CHURCHILL

Dorothy Churchill, age 91 of Albany, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023. Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, Apr. 5 at the Albany Cemetery with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Dorothy Marie Benjamin was born May 3, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois to Cecil Clayton Benjamin and Catherine Ruth Foss Benjamin.

She married Floyd Churchill, Jr. in 1952. The Churchills moved to Albany in 1968 from Illinois. Mrs. Churchill worked in a tin can factory where she met Floyd. She enjoyed playing games, crocheting, and knitting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.

Mrs. Churchill is survived by her four sons, Larry Churchill and wife Michelle of Albany, Gary Churchill and wife Zena of Albany, David Churchill of Blackwell, Oklahoma, and Mark Churchill of Albany; three brothers, Dale Benjamin of Missouri, Dean Benjamin of California, and Billy Benjamin of Illinois; one sister-in-law, Alice Benjamin of California; seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
