Frances Cox peacefully passed at her home in Albany, TX on Feb. 9, 2024.

A service will be held Thursday, Feb. 15 at 10:30 at First Baptist Church, Albany. Burial will be at Willow Cemetery in Haskell, Texas.

Frances was born April 16, 1933 in Haskell County to parents Ray Lancaster and Stella Bilderback Lancaster. She was one of four children,twoolderbrothers (Hugh and Herbert) and her twin sister Mary.

She graduated high schoolfromMattsonISDin 1950 and married Charles F. Cox in Haskell May 2, 1952.

FrancesandCharliehad three sons, Charles Lavon Cox (1953), Dennis Wayne Cox (1954) and Robert Ray Cox (1957). She lost her husband to cancer in 1959. She and her family then moved to Irving, TX to be near her parents. She worked for the Irving ISD inthe1960sand1970s.She movedtoEulessTXin1963 where she lived until 1980.

Frances moved to Albany in 1980. She went to work for Jones Management Corporation in Dec. 1980 until her retirement Dec. 2013. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany. She enjoyed her church, family and watching nature,especiallyhummingbirds inherbackyard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, and sister as well as one daughterin- law, Joyce Cox. She is survived by three sons, Charles and wife Karin of Albany, Dennis and wife Patricia of Cleburne, Robert and wife Debbie of Albany; six grandchildren: Kevin Cox and wife Catherine, Angela Avila and husband Juaquin, Laura Cox,PattySparksandhusband Jonathan,AmyO’Neil and husband John, Lisa Bivens and husband Mike; five great-grandchildren: Richard and Braiden Cox, Hagen and Halyn Sparks, and Pepper Bivens.
