MAXINE MOORE

Maxine Moore, age 92 of Albany, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 16 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

Maxine Levelle Rhodes was born Jan. 21, 1931 in Olden, Texas to Henry Arnold Rhodes and Gladys Mae Ferguson Rhodes. On Aug. 7, 1947, she married J.M. Moore in Albany, Texas.

Maxine an avid reader, had a love for flowers and being outdoors. She was a wonderful cook who loved hosting family holiday meals and decorating her home for the holidays.

Maxine was active in the community as a docent at The Old Jail Art Center, a member of the Lioness Club and a member of The Albany Study Club. She was also a member at Friendship Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son-in-law, Gene Ray Davis.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, J.M. Moore; three children, Kathleen Landrum and husband Mike, Linda Davis, Jim Moore and wife Tressie; grandchildren, Russell Davis, Jeff Davis, Cole Moore, Elizabeth Santiago and husband Kyler, Mindy Moore and husband Eugene; great grandchildren, Ann Davis, Ella Santiago, Jaxon Olivares, Braxton Olivares.
